Birthing From Within® Childbirth Preparation Classes

BFW.logoI run periodic classes using the Birthing From Within framework. If you are interested in participating in this class or arranging another, please contact me via this form or call/text 773-255-4542 for more information and/or to discuss possible dates and times. You can find out more about what to expect from Birthing From Within classes here.

Birthing From Within …for First Time Expectant Parents:

My next class is an intensive series of six classes condensed into two Sundays, from 3:30-8:30 pm November 12th and 19th, 2017. The price for this class is $325 for two participants. The location is Third Coast Birth and Family at 2624 W Fullerton Ave Chicago.

Content includes practical information about labor including extensive, hands-on pain coping strategies, medical decision making, birth partner communication, postpartum planning, and interactive activities and self-reflective work to build confidence and strengthen your ability to meet whatever your birth may bring.

You will learn through “three ways of knowing:”

* Modern knowledge about pregnancy, labor, and postpartum from an evidence-based perspective

* Intuitive knowledge from an old-as-time perspective – the sort of knowledge that birthing mammals act out in our instincts

* And self-knowledge, made of the meanings you take into birth and parenting. Understanding what is uniquely important to you is key to knowing how to access the first two types of knowledge.

Come ready to build confidence and strengthen your ability to meet whatever your birth may bring!

If at any given time, group classes do not work for you, private classes are available. I also have Pam England’s Birthing From Within Pain-Coping Practice cd available to borrow or purchase. Give me a call or drop me a line!
