The changing table at Exit 164 on our way to the capitol

The changing table at Exit 164 on our way to the capitol

A mother (presumably) in a gas station just off the interstate in the middle of rural Illinois wrote this graffito that could only be seen if one opened the changing table in the women’s rest room: “You can do anything you want to do. You just have to believe you are great enough to do it. Because you are. Have a nice day and remember, Love yourself.” I saw it when changing Grace’s diaper. I love the way that she put this in a place only women with babies and young children might see it. Overly sentimental perhaps, but given the huge goal in front of me and all the other mothers headed to Springfield that day (and in the days ahead), I thought I’d pass it on.
